There used to be a fantastic tool for Windows XP, called TweakUI Power Toys.

I had it, I used it, I loved it. Anyway, I seemed to have found the Windows 10 equivalent... (not the lame one from MS).

It's as powerful if not more so, than the old TweakUI. I've been playing around with it.

I recommend creating a restore point, before playing around with this tool.
Occasionally run sfc /scannow from an elevated Command Prompt, to make sure you haven't broken anything.

Some of the more desired tweaks in this tool...

Disable Shares, disable telemetry, disable MS driver updates or even all the updates.
1000's of others.

It scans clean with both my local Bitdefender Internet Security 2020, and at VirusTotal.

Most if not all things can easily be enabled/disabled with just a click or a checkmark. Lastly, just about every tweak, has a "link" to a description of the tweak in question, with directions on how to apply the tweak manually, if so desired.

Yeah, lol, there's some weird ones. But there's some seriously decent ones like...

Show BSOD. Disable Smiley.
Disable Driver Updates.
Take Ownership
Disable Telemetry
Disable Updates (completely)


...just chock full of good stuff.

Mostly this WinAero site seems to be the same. How to do all these things, manually.
The program seems to do two things...

1. Give you an easy way to accomplish the same things...
2. ...AND a link to the manual way of doing them as well.


Considering how many things it does, the installation directory is 5.09 MB. Pretty lightweight.
