Since Windows 10 was released, I've been seeing zillions of posts that say the ISO won't fit on a single layer DVD. I just DL'd the Media Creation Tool from MS, set it for 64 bit and created the ISO.
Then I used ImgBurn and burnt the ISO to a single layer (4.7GB) DVD... no problems. I even had ImgBurn "verify" it after burning.

Most on here know that I still like and use DVDs. This makes me suspect that maybe USB thumb drive manufacturers have been the ones making all those "it won't fit on a single layer DVD", posts. :D

I'm not exactly sure what the Media Creation Tool does, with respect to the computer that the DVD is made on. I'm running Win 7 Home, so I assume the image I just burned will be for Win 10 Home.
It could be a generic Windows 10 DVD I guess. Then it would be my product key that determines which version of Windows 10 gets installed. Anyway, I was happy to see that it fit on a single layer DVD.

/e Why you ask, did I do all this... well I finally got my stimulus check and I'm going to upgrade. The problem that remains is that all the decent ASUS x570 chipset motherboards, just went out of stock, like 2 days before the stimulus check arrived (direct deposit, not really a check).

Well... this is what I just ordered. I will grab the vid card in July... for now I'll just keep using the GTX 780 Ti

/e I also have a Cooler Master ATCS 840 case (black), optical drive and 3x 2TB hard drives. Have a really old PC Power & Cooling 750W power supply (actually I have 2 of them).
As for peripherals... DELL U3011 30" monitor, Klipsch 2.1 Pro Media speakers and both a Ducky Shine 2 and a Shine 3 keyboard(s).

It's built like a tank. ASUS WS boards always are. WS = workstation. Here's the ASUS link to the mobo... https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Pro-WS-X570-ACE/

With this build I'm most concerned with longevity.

/eee First choice for mobo... went out of stock EVERYwhere, 2 days before check came: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/whMTwP/asus-tuf-gaming-x570-plus-atx-am4-motherboard-tuf-gaming-x570-plus

Fortunately I remembered the WS boards. I have three other ones...still running, from way the hell long ago. Back in the day, they were called Deluxe boards... then they changed it to WS.

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M2N32SLI_DeluxeWireless_Edition/overview/ <--- still running.

and the earliest one: ASUS A7N8X Deluxe

they were built like tanks been through few ws boards or alike and shit rma process
especially on z87ws they didnt do shit for replacement or fixing

dual lan is amazing though

think I might be done with asus if asrock keeps rocking me needs for much cheaper
havent had one fail yet (knocks on wood)

on another note if i was upgrading I prolly would have gone sub 200 mobo and 3900x for same price
but you prolly dont have things that could take advantage of 12 cores with smt

something like this 50 cheaper for bigger ssd/gpu or a bag/bottle

I considered the 3900X, but it's 105w vs 65w and not that much faster. I doubt I'll need 12 cores anyhow. :)

LOL. My AMD settlement, came out to $30.42. Apparently there were a LOT of people with legit claims. :)
