I keep discord on a 3rd display, everything is normal with that. But for some reason a popout chat window is on my main gaming display when I open games. Its not there without a game, just when playing a game. I cant figure out how to get it to go away. Anyone have an idea?

disable the in-game overlay in the settings

As stated in post #2, it sounds like your in-game overlay.

I put together a picture with 3 steps below that should help you to toggle your in-game overlay on and off

You access game activity to allow various apps to have and not have the overlay.
Just disable the feature as a whole in overlay and be done with it.
