for ssd's, their any differences, pros/cons? lifespan? speed? temperature?

this is my old shtty mobo, https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B75MA-P45/Gallery#lg=1&slide=1

I see it has a space for a m.2-2280 and only 1 sata 6.0 which I could keep my old drive in the 6.0 it's just a hdd tho, but highly unnecessary.

which 1 would u reccomend?

I don't see any m.2 port on this motherboard and their website does not list m.2 support in the specifications for this motherboard.

The chipset your motherboard is using is also very dated. If I were you I would think about upgrading to a better motherboard before worrying about a new storage device.

The speed difference would depend on what m.2 you were considering and the rpm's on the hdd though.

There's almost no difference between a standard 2.5 inch ssd and a nvme ssd rated at 3000mbs.
While the samsung evo's are rated to last longer generally your better going with a cheaper brand at half the cost.
If your pc meets your needs atm aside from a ssd then just buy the ssd and don't worry about new mobo.

That motherboard doesn't have an M2 slot.
Get a 2.5" and hook it to the Sata 6Gb/s slot and any other drives to the Sata 3Gb/s slots.

That's a PCI-e card slot. It's for stuff like audio cards, USB i/o ports, and some SSD.
