Nvidea announced they will show off their next gen cards in a couple months, do you think the price of the 20 series will go down a whole lot? The 1080 stayed the same price all year thanks to data miners. I was going to get a 2060 Super, but now I'm wondering if I should wait until summer.

I mean considering the 2080ti is still like $1200. I’m sure the 30 series will be similar in price if not more. The question will be is it worth it, cost vs performance upgrade.

What’s your current specs?

Currently I have a 960, Intel 5ghz, 20g ram. It's been a couple years since my last upgrade. I was looking for a mid-range card, I'm not ready to drop $1200 since I still need to replace my monitors.

Prices didn't go down much because they did a good job of running out their old stock before the new stuff got out. Even if they "announce" it in a couple months, it could still be much longer before it's actually available on shelves, and they usually start at flagship part of the lineup so the more cost:performance ones come even later down the road.
