this would be perfect if it's the lens or outside of the camera. It evaporates very quick but don't let it get inside the camera because alcohol is very conductive and can short out circuits.
if it's "sticky" when you're trying to reposition, i'd try a lubricant. what type of lubricant would depend on the material the joint is made of.
