So as the title says im looking to upgrade my HDD to something faster for my games.
I'm looking at the firecuda SSHD or the Samsung evo SSD.
Which one would be better for running strictly games?

If you get the firecuda get the 3.5 inch 7200rpm one. The 2.5 inch one isnt worth shit.
And the Samsung evo are really overpriced for gaming. Get a different brand thats cheaper.

Both are fine though. I would upgrade to SSD though.

kinda slow w/r speeds for games

what kind of mobo do you have? does it have m.2 support? those are kinda the thing right now.

if you really want a 2.5" then i'd try to get atleast 1gb w/r speed.

you can easily get 3gb w/r speed on an m.2 if your mobo supports though. they're also not too expensive.

I mean honestly... it's really gonna come down to what motherboard you have to see what the best storage option would be for you.

please list that and the storage size you would like. Also a price range would be good.

these don't exist... is my fucking point. All 2.5inch drives are sata.
m.2 vs 2.5 ssd is not really noticeable either when gaming.

you should be able to get one from newegg or amazon for less than $100.

what's your price range?

/e: just remember if you have anything plugged into your sata ports, using an m.2 port disables 2x sata ports. your motherboard tech manual will tell you which 2 sata ports each m.2 slot disables.
