Two pc setup
Gaming pc - rtx 2070 super, 240hz gaming monitor, 4k second monitor, Third monitor is the cap card.
Everything looks fine and runs fine but my GPU is running at like 99% sometimes. Gaming doesn't seem to be impacted much but I don't like that it runs at 99% sometimes. I think my setup has a lot to do with it because
Settings in games and in Nvidia control panel are all low, off or set to high performance.

Main question is if my streaming setup is right, I currently run it like so.

Gaming PC runs an HDMI to the Capture card and I treat it like a third monitor cloning the gaming monitor in Windows display panel.

I know a lot of people run the ONE hdmi to the cap card and run an hdmi back to the gaming monitor but I can't do that because its a 240hz monitor

Is there another way to run this or do I just need more GPU power in order to be able to clone the third monitor and effectively run "3" monitors, two of which are very demanding on resources since its 4k and the other is 240hz?

Are there other settings I can change like capping my ingame fps at 240, or some other windows settings that may reduce GPU usage in this setup?

what are rest of specs?

so you are saying you run hdmi to 4k 2nd monitor(doing what on this one), another hdmi(clone main) to cap card, and then main is displayport to monitor?

you are running different hz monitors gpu usually will be busy

what are temps?

Both monitors are Display Ports, HDMI runs to the Capture Card which is in the other computer doing the streaming. 4k monitor is just for keeping my stream up and other things I need, secondary display

temps are fine. Believe they stay around 55-62 or something

If I know what the problem was I wouldn't be posting and asking lmao

Gaming is slightly impacted somtimes (or majorly IDK because I figured 240 frames in most games is enough but yeah) GPU is at 99% a lot, It takes a while to tab out of my games and back into other stuff when I run the three monitor setup

99% is fine as long as temps are fine, means nothing is holding it back, unless you are idle

and you are asking alot from your system what do you expect
if you want more fps
have you tried to reduce the 4k to 1080p to see if that makes a difference? or removing it completely for testing purposes?
have you tried to stream without the cap card?

you have so many variables to know what really would affect it

this incase the 4k monitor is hooked up to the gaming pc

its just unnecessary tax on system having a 4k monitor as 2nd display, and can cause scaling issues running 2 monitors with different resolutions

depends on many variables

if he isnt doing much on the 4k then should be small tax

I know many suffer from different monitor frequencies too
