so I recently built a new computer and also upgraded my monitor to a 4k from a 1440p. My specs before were a i7 5820k 6 core processor at 4200mhz and now i'm running a i9-9900k 8core at 4800mhz. GTX 1080, 32gb 3200mhz ram. windows 10 ver 1903. link to my speccy info ( http://speccy.piriform.com/results/h6CPi1krxM7alXFHdWarDw1 )

I loaded some 8k .red raw footage (I'm assuming this has to do with it lmao) but it was lagging bad and using 100% of my cpu. I then imported some 4k raw footage and it was running pretty well but seems like when I would make changes (raise/lower blacks/shadows stuff like that) it would take about a good 1-1.5 seconds for it to actually show.

My last setup was almost instant when I would make changes (even on my own 4k footage) and now its running less quickly on a better computer. Are there any windows/premiere settings or anything I can change or look into that may increase speeds? Photoshop seems to be running very well on my photos which are about 100Mb raw files from my sony. Speeds through those. I know its different things but still.

any help would be great! I haven't really began to troubleshoot since I don't do a lot of footage but I want to start practicing grading and stuff on more video so wanted to get it resolved sooner rather than later!!!

FWIW this comparison shows it should be considerable faster on single and multicore rendering. https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i9-9900K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-5820K/4028vs2579
