I have a huge collection of books from a lot of different genres that I am thinking of selling to reduce the amount of items I own and free up some space. I would like to pick up an e-reader but would like some opinions from you guys. I’ve owned a kindle before But I don’t like the ads. I’ve thought about picking up an iPad. Are there other options?

This would primarily be just for e-books. I use my laptop for movies and everything else when I travel as well as my iPhone.

What do you guys think?

I mean....you have the kindle and the nook and I guess the kobo if you’re a hipster

But really all you have is the kindle...

For ebooks I recommend the Kindle paper white.

I have one and you can see the text wonderfully!

That’s unfortunate but I thank you both for your input. Probably just buy the kindle then

Ads only show on the paper white during sleep mode. They don't randomly interrupt your book. When you resume from sleep you may get a recommendation for a new book but it's hardly something to axe a purchase over.

already mentioned that ads don't interrupt reading. i do want to vote against the ipad. looking at your screen for 20 minutes is probably fine. but if you just sit around reading for 6 hours, the ipad screen will be terrible compared to the EInk stuff. i got a kindle paperwhite a few years ago and love it. i download fanfic and usb it over.
