So yeah, i have like 4 working usb ports on my computer. That is not near enough of what i need, i have like 12 that i need in total.

My question is, would there be any trouble if i bought like 3 usb hubs with 4 ports on each one?
So that i have 1 port split into 4, and do that with 3 ports of the pc.

unless they have dedicated power yes there will be issues.
you can get long ones with like 12+ ports.

No they dont have dedicated power afaik. Its the 4 port usb hub from anker.

What if i used 2x4? 8 is the minimum i would need

you want something like this.
You need it to have a dedicated power source or gl filling it and expecting it to perform.

I'm actually curious what you need 12 USB ports for?

As KA said, the HUB will need to have it's own dedicated power source otherwise a single USB port will not be able to provide enough to the 4+ split.

3) headphones
4) microphone (not integrated in a headset)

Those are the ones i always want in. So im mainly good with a 4-Split and the other 3 that are left to use on my pc.

The rest is optimal, LEDs, phone battery charge, bluetooth speaker or headphone charge, mainly charging devices that are not connected nonstop. But i have a power supply with 2 slots for charging devices.

Only really wanted to know if there is any problem if i connected 2x4 slot usb hubs to 2 of my usb slots.
Does it harm the hardware or anything like that? Or is it just a question of performance, related to the things that are connected to the hubs?
