Is the budget too low for a laptop that could handle editing on the go when out of town?

I've looked but the deals I'm finding are looking pretty bad.

For 1200-1300 I see 120 GB SSD, 4 GB of ram and whatnot...

Please let me know if budget too low, or if you have a suggestion!

Where have you looked? I see tons of it with 16gb ram, 250gb ssd for 1k cad on newegg

I mostly looked just through google and reviews what not, I seem like you don't get much for your money nowadays

I'm on Newegg right now and I at least need 1920 x 1080, most of them at 1k are 8 gb ram and 128 gb ssd, like this one here :

Is there a brand I should look for? I would rather have one that will last a while before the battery dies
