I randomly started this problem two months ago

I7 4690k overclicked
Gtx 1070
Water cooled

Pretty sure it is my cpu, but not sure

Any type of video rendering or graphically intensive game kind of just freezes my pc to bsod

I have cleaned the entire thing, but haven’t reset thermal paste yet.

Runescape and normal activities run fine, but any type of game or big ps/Vegas projects make it crash, especially when rendering

CPU done? Or

Your overclock is bad or you have a heat problem, or both.

Download speccy and post a screenshot at idle.

edit: its i5 4690k, took a break from my computer for about a year and and came back around 3 months ago. This problem started back about ~2 months ago

I overclocked it the day I put it together, and it ran smoothly for the ~1 year or so i used it. As im typing now, though the cpu temp is now 55C

I opened up Apex Legends onto the start screen and immediately took an ss.

The temp jumped like 10C without even playing

So I applied thermal paste and it did a little bit better, but I still got a bsod after a while.

Before I couldn’t even play one game of apex legends. I got through 4 games and then got a bsod

Don’t know if this helps

What would help is a mini dump file. <- can run bluescreen viewer and screen shot the errors one by one
OR at bare min the actual BSOD error.
