Just bought 144 hz monitor over black friday sale

Is this a good buy with my gpu radeon r 290? Its a bit of an older card

I only play league and dfo atm

If this is not a good buy i might just refund and buy a mintendo switch instead

Idk its an old card i thought i might run into problems

The monitor is LG 32" Class QHD Gaming Monitor with FreeSync (31.5" Diagonal)

I mean in E-Sports titles you should be able to push 144 fps.
