i guess the connector cable is faulty. the laptop is 2 years and a bit. i'd like to repair it myself. is that hard?

No its not hard its literally replacing a cable.
hardest part is disassembly and reassembly.

As said earlier just YouTube the cable replacement it's pretty simple.

well seems the whole pc is glued together. after removing the screws i had to pull pretty hard. will i need to apply glue again or are the screws enough? it feels like i broke some small plastic noses :S

The "glue" is usually so they can tell if you opened it, for warranty purposes.

ok cool. it seems quite ok without glue i guess. just a little bump on the corner where i broke 2 of those plastic noses but np. i only use it as a "tv" in my gym room.

Yeah, companies have been doing that for decades. Sometimes one screw, sometimes all, sometimes paper stickers over the screws, etc. Anything they can think of, that will get "obviously changed" if you take it apart.
