I dinted my computer screen by accident. It’s a matte finish screen. This isn’t a surface scratch. It’s a small dint, so I can still use the screen and not notice it most of the time (equivalent area of having a few dead pixels). The pixels underneath I believe are still working.

The effect of the dint is the screen surface material isn’t clear in that area (like when you take a plastic cup and bend it, the crease goes white).

Is there a way to polish it in the affected area to increase the transparency?

(A fruit fly was on the screen. I had a small stack of note papers. I didn’t realize a paper clip was still on them. The paper clip hit the screen).

Don't clean it with windex whatever you do. You might trying a suction of some sort but it might damage it worse if it even works. I'd just leave it alone and get used to it.

I knocked over a torch onto my computer screen one day and the tip was still hot. I have a few nicks where it burnt the screen. Now I have little white lines in two areas. I don't even notice anymore unless I look for it.
