so im new to this and want to live stream some. I want to use obs. I know there is youtube however was wondering if there was somewhere out there that could help me start a new adventure.

can give u a couple of tips

test your internet and imk speed.. what game do u want to stream and whats ur pc specs

300mb dL. 50-100 mb up depending usually lays about 65 up. Ping is usually 1.

Specs are
I5 3.5ghz
8 gigs ddr4 ram (working on upgrading right now. Son went through brain cancer treatments so taking long then normal.)
1060 running at 4 gigs
1000gb sata (working on a ssd right now)

seems fine but what games do u wanna stream?

do u want overlays and webcam?

Only thing I need is my web cam and my comments so I can see them I have a second screen to help with this as well. And wow diablo 3 diablo 2 maybe lol at times. That’s about it really

allright, i recommend u try streamlabs https://streamlabs.com/ - easy to set up everything (obs,overlays,webcam,donos,chat and more)

and u should read this https://stream.twitch.tv/encoding/ and try some of these different setups - maybe start with 720p 30fps 3k bitrate and see how it runs - higher quality might require a better pc and ofc high quality will require fast upload speed aswell

iirc 2-3k bitrate should be fine for most games, but if u play something fast paced u need 4-5k bitrate and remember if u go from 30 to 60 fps u need to up ur bitrate aswell
