So I was playing Fortnite (yes fortnite) last night when the game crashed causing my PC to literally turn completely off. I rebooted without any error messages or anything. I tried getting into another match and the same thing happened. This time when I rebooted my monitor didn't turn on with the PC.

After unplugging shit and taking out my GPU and cleaning the PCI-E port, I resorted to VGA into my motherboard and the display showed up. Now my GPU isn't being recognized by my PC at all. Nothing in device manager except the on-board drivers.

My GPU lights up when I turn it on, and fans spin, but it's not recognized by my PC which is extremely strange.

So far I've tried DDU and reinstalling the drivers, but when I try to reinstall the AMD drivers I get error 182, which is saying the installer cannot identify my AMD graphics card.

My GPU is MSI Radeon R9 380 4gb

Anyone have any ideas on what I could do next? Or is my GPU doomed?

wtf is cleaning ports
that isnt an issue
you either put the gpu in wrong
aka MOST LIKELY
or you killed the pci port with this cleaning

This happened before I ever took out the gpu. AFTER my monitor didn’t turn on when my pc booted up I suspected a problem with the GPU. So I took out the gpu, sprayed the pci-e port with air and brushed off the chip on the graphics card, then put it back in exactly how I always have. I can assure you I didn’t put it in wrong
