Gpu: 1060 amp zotac
Cpu: i7 4790k
Psu: evga 1000w gold plus
Mobo: msi z79s krait edition
Ssd: SATA 6gb ssd sp900

Not sure what ram is

Switched from my 950 to 1060 and the pc wont start any longer

All i see is a blue led solid underneath where a 2nd gpu would go

Fans dont spin

Psu tested standlone and works perfectly
Tried booting without gpu/ram/etc and all i get is that blue led

Tried clesring cmos and got the same result

disassemble it.
Literally disconnect everything and start by hooking up only essentials.
24/8 pin to mobo from psu, cpu obv, gpu + its psu cables.
with no ram you will get a ram bios beep error, this will signify the boards functioning. (provided you have a speaker connected)
from there start added back in things 1 by one, starting with ram.
if it posts add another part and so fourth, chances are teh ram is not siting correctly.

Your mobo shouldn't just die from switching a gpu though. Did you hook up a speaker and see if your getting a bios beep for no ram?
how exactly did you isolate things? did you swap out a spare of every part if not then aside from what i stated above I'm unsure what you mean by isolate the hardware.

I dont have an external speaker

with the mobo/cpu connected we tested: no ram, 1 ram, both rams, with gpu, without gpu, with ssd, without, etc

no fans even turn on any time, and my psu is in working order, only the blue light is shown in every variation we have tried
