So there's a file called update.exe on my computer and if I remove it, it readds itself in 4 hours.
I ran malwarebytes etc and it removed it, but it keeps coming back.
I don't want to format just for this silly little thing.
How do I remove it?

It's located in C ProgramData

I've seen that after one of those web pages opens and says that adobe flash player or Firefox wants to update. If you click on anything on those web pages... you get that file.

After you run malwarebytes and it gets rid of the file, then reboot into safe mode and run it again.

/e

It might also be a valid file, depending on what programs you have installed.

At first I was getting a random error screen appearing, blabla has crahased error code blabla
So I went and replaced that file with another exe file, and named it Update.exe and edited it to read only, but it still gives me a pop up asking "Do you want unknown publisher to make changes to this file?" and I say no. 4 h later it asks again

It's what you get when you "stream sports".

Locate the registry of that file that reinstalls it and remove it
