Hey guys,

Looking into buying a new set of computer speakers fro my desk. I would like them to be good quality, and able to play fairly loud, as I would likely use them to play music when I have house parties.
I guess price point would be under $500 preferably (unless some audiophiles have other suggestions).

Also, if you already have a stereo and/or TV, could just get a chromecast/chromecast audio.?

out of curiosity, why would that matter when looking for computer speakers?

house party only with pc speakers ?

if he doesnt have house system maybe he should focus on that
parties with 2 speaker setup ? most modern receivers have 7ch stereo which is nice and can be hooked up to pc still
and limited to mobo audio dac which we dont know about but still can be reasonable and will

but I wouldnt throw a party with pc speakers, maybe small get togethers if thats what he means

fyi I have 3 receivers and x7
my 7.2 yamaha has given me 2 disturbing the peace tickets lol
but have 2 subs also removed my sub from my office
