In a moment of stupidity I plugged my 9tb hdd into my ps4 to watch movies and when it was unsupported I copied my movies to another drive and plugged it in but forgot I recently reformatted that as well, so neither will work with my ps4 as is.
I know I simply need to format it to exfat but at this point I'll either need to completely wipe the 1tb hdd and use it for movies but was wondering if there's anyway to format half of a drive without effecting the data on the other half.
My 9tb hdd has about 2-3tb used and is full of steam files and movies, I would ideally like to keep that all untouched and partition a 4tb exfat drive on there to handle my ps4 media and game storage while still having 4tb of ntfs to use with windows 10 and steam. Is this at all possible? Will I need to take all the files off before trying to do it or is there a program that can safely do what I want without damaging anything already on the drive?
