ok so i set my comp to 'sleep: never' and all the settings i could find to never use sleep mode.

I went to bed last night and now I woke up and my computer is at the password screen.. ? is their any way to make it not be at the password screen and just run in normal while my monitors are off? it shut off the game I needed it for, it's like a old school game where u make shops and people buy ur shit.

open 'netplwiz' and uncheck the "Users must enter a password to use this PC" box. You'll have to enter the password once just to change the setting, but then it won't need it again. It will trigger these even if the screen goes to sleep, even tho the PC may still be on.

Are you sure it was sleep, that caused the issue. The 14th was Microsoft Update Tuesday, and on Win 10 the updates don't all roll out to every comp... on Tuesday.
Maybe check Control Panel > Programs and features > View installed Updates (or w/e it's called in Win 10) and see if you had an update installed last night.

Also, check on Hibernate as well. On Win 7 I also have both turned off, and "Sleep" disabled and Hibernate removed form the system all together.

I misread the last part of your first post. I agree with Ghot, you probably got updated. You can pause updates on windows for like 30 days, but you can't completely disable them so eventually it's going to happen unless you manually update every couple weeks. It defaults to like 3am or something as the start time for this.
