I'm pretty sure it's the fan in the laptop that's making the noise.

But I just want to be sure before I take it somewhere and get railroaded up my ass and wallet.

The thing just makes a constantly "grinding" noise, sorta of like the fan did when I first got the computer but now its much louder, and it'll stop every now and again almost like the fan.

Just wondering, is it because the fan is possibly broken or maybe just needs a cleaning?

Again just want to have a heads up before I take it to the shop so they can't bullshit me.

Well, a couple cans of compressed air cost about $9.
And... laptops should be regularly blown out anyways.

never heard a fan make a grinding noise, and u say it was there when u got the pc..

hdd or ssd? if hdd it could be that, or it could be the hdd or the fan spinning making another internal part make the grinding noise

i would open it myself and see whats up

Fans can easily make grinding noises (bearings).

Some of the cheaper fans don't have sealed bearings.

Could be HDD ofc, but dusting it out is cheap. If that's not the problem then $9 is no real loss.
