Here is the situation.

I have a decent computer. It was blinding fast, happy days.

I then was away for a year. Before I left I cleaned it fairly good with clean air, then put away in my room. Left it on though so I could remote to it occasionally.

6months ago, started having connection problems so I just got the parents to turn it off.

Another 6 months, back home. The computer is MIND NUMBING SLOW..

Like shoot yourself in the face slow.

I also had the RED Dram light come on once but every other time fine..

What's my problem? Did I partially unseat the CPU? Am I getting a bad connection somewhere?

Where should I start in troubleshooting?.

Nothing looks obviously wrong. I would probably start with checking for infections, and go from there.

This might just be a case of Windows 10 getting borked by one of the updates.



/e Run the free ESET online scanner, and run malwarebytes.

Home computers arent meant to be run 24/7. I have a feeling youve got some failing components. The ssd could definitely be one.

Home systems and components are built for speed not 24/7 operation and reliability as servers are.
