is zen2 close to launching? i hear the current am4 platform is compatible until 2020 with amd's new chips etc, i kinda want to upgrade and have more than 4 cores, but don't want the same or lower ipc, just wondering what my options are

why not wait for 9900k or whatever they going to call it
