Only 1 stick of ram is showing in the bios and the windows screen. Not sure what the problem is. Both sticks work. I tried removing them and using them 1 by 1 both worked. Any suggestions

Did you read the manual on the order of the DIMM slots? RAM needs to be placed in certain slots first.

Update bios? Chances are your bios isnt updated to work correctly with those sticks.

We already know that that RAM works on that motherboard... even with the original BIOS.

/e But, it could still be the BIOS, what with MS and it's rather sloppy Meltdown and Spectre patches.

Compatible with the most current bios. Ddr4 3000 is an overclock and may not have been released with day 1 bios. It may be running ram in a slower single channel configuration until the bios is updated. Think.. default 800x600 when you havent updated windows to recognize video card. It still runs.. sure.
