I bought a mmx 300 gen 2 headset and the mic only works if I plug it into the controller of my Xbox.. Now I want to run it through my amp cuz it sounds alot better but the mic doesn't work when I do this ;(

The microphone doesn't need amped. Only the headset. That's why only the headset goes through the amp and then you should have a wire for the mic into the controller separately.

the mmx300 came with 2 cables one for console that only has one plug and one for pc with a mic and sound splitter.. i plugged one into the amp and the mic into the controller and i just get a staticy noise

Looks like you need a mix amp still with the Xbox.

Mix-amps are designed to work with Xbox and PS.

Yup... Still need mix amp. Silly Xbox. Anyways I have a mix amp I never use anymore if you are interested in it. I don't game on console anymore but when I did I used Q701 with a mod mic and Mixamp.
