So, I'm looking to upgrade my computer situation with a new machine, potentially 2.
I'm mostly going to ramble about what I want out of each device and what I've considered so far.
Willing to dnn8 5fg for quality responses/discussion.
My needs/uses;
One laptop or similar product for mobile tutoring.
Looking to purchase in the next month or two
*Quick/efficient, I don't plan to run large programs. The majority of what I need to load on this device would be online math assignments and graphing calculator apps.
*Good screen resolution/sound quality. Occasionally I use additional resources, and the better the play quality of videos/lectures the better.
* I plan to start tutoring online, so front facing camera/quality video calling is a plus.
For awhile I was picturing this device being a laptop, but I was also considering something along the lines of a chromebook or iPad.
Mainly due to size and convenience, and because I don't have to do a large amount of processing with this device. Typically one or two application will be open at a time.
Recommendations? I'd like to avoid Apple if possible, but an iPad+keyboard is still an option.
Home computer
Hoping to upgrade home computer by the end of the year
-Gaming, not pro level or anything.
-Photo Editing
-Doesn't need to be a desktop, but I tend to max out the USB slots on every laptop I've owned.
-Unsure if I want pre-made or self-assembled. I've never personally built a computer, but I have enough friend's to help me.
I'm mainly concerned about if there's an issue with parts/compatibility after I begin putting it together.
Also after doing some research it seems there is not a significant price difference between pre-built and self-assembly. Am I right?
-Either dual hard drive, 1SSD + 1HDD or a single large SSD
-Upgradeable for when the future comes
-Already have good peripherals for a desktop.
