hello so i just recently bought a full new pc

set it up, all is fine. hook it up and turn it on - nothing.

nothing at all. I've tried 9 outlets. Took it to my friends house and it turned on, booted and could install windows.

I've things plugged into these outlets(laptop, etc).. any suggestions on what could be causing this..?

Pull it apart and reassemble it. something probably lose.
If you bought it as a whole unit just return it.

You tried every outlet in the house with nothing else in the sockets? Maybe try it on a working powerstrip? Odd problem is odd.

Try a different cord from psu to wall?
Check connection from psu to mb?
Did you check the case button?
What voltage is the psu & how much do you need?
Do you have warranty on the psu?

I would make sure the 4 pin is still connected to the motherboard & power switch for the psu is still on. Also did you put the motherboard in yourself? If so I would make sure there are no case to mb screws that don't line up with the mb holes, could short everything out.
