Need cheap budget router and modem, separate is better. up to speeds of 75 to 100 mbps from ISP.

6 devices max on wifi at once. 2 cell phones, 2 ps4, 2 computers

cheapest is best, but id say budget is under $140 total

ok... so apparently the ISP is called NexGen. They said they don't use a modem... and you just need a router... they said Belkin routers have issues with them.

They said its "metro ethernet, no modem required." and "fiber optic coming into the building, a switch in the closet in the building itself, then single ethernet cable goes to each unit"

Not sure how we don't need a modem... so basically just need a router. any suggestions for max speeds of 50 mb/s ? but we may upgrade to 100 mb/s later.

i guess i just need an AC router, dual band with 2.4 ghz 5 ghz capability?

It looks like the TP-Link archer AC1750 is a good choice? unless theres any others to consider?

budget is preferably cheaper, but can do like up to $75 or $80

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ARRIS-SURFboard-SBG6700AC-DOCSIS-3-0-Wireless-Cable-Modem-AC1600-Wi-Fi-Router/46099796 Can find it cheaper on Amazon, but it's really nice for the price, and you won't have to upgrade again for a long time. It uses Dual-Band (good for multi device usuage such as cell phones and gaming consoles at the same time, which run off different frenquencies), also using AC instead of the older B/G/N.

If they don't use a modem (and there are providers that don't, like fiber, LRE, etc), then just get a router. That TP-Link should be fine.
