So my parents bought a catamaran and I need to record stuff for the turn over. We expect this to last 5 hours.

I need help picking a camera
Good audio and decent picture are required.
Also need better to last for 5 hours of recording, or have a swappable battery so I can record everything.

Parents seem pretty set on getting a GoPro but idk which one.

High end phones like Samsung s9, Pixel 2 and p20 pro are equal If not better quality of the Gopro Hero series. and the same features like 4k@60fps, OIS etc.
So If one of you already got these no reason to invest in a GoPro.
Remember to bring like a 10,000mAH power bank.

Iphone 8 and X has decent cameras aswell. But really shitty microfon!

Cheap phone type family. Bunch of Motorola phones around these parts. All potato quality. Mainly looking for something that can capture action shots not so poorly
