My coworker found an old TV someone threw out and it's the best looking screen I have seen. It's a glossy finish and very bright / good picture quality and color.

Does anyone know what might be a good fit? I have a 144hz / 1ms monitor for my main gaming monitor, just wanted one extra one for movies / videos.

Budget probably ~$200

I don't know what a TN panel or any of that means. I don't really need a gaming monitor, just something for my secondary with movies on it.

These are IPS panels (instead of TN like mentions above) which means it will have a more vibrant picture than an average gaming monitor, it just won't have the super fast refresh rate (which doesn't matter for movies)
It's also in the 21:9 aspect ration which is what most recent movies are produced in, so you wouldn't have black bars on the top and bottom of screen, it will fill the whole thing out.

Dang that first one is on sale @ best buy and it's like 40 dollars cheaper than amazon. I might go pick it up today.

So hopefully it is good for movies! The website says it is on display at my BB too.

I would look at IPS panels myself.

Something like this for movies...

Twisted Nematic. It's a type of panel used but it's old technology.

As they have said, what you want is an IPS panel. I've had one since 2012 and I love it to death. Best looking monitor I've ever had.

I bought an HP IPS 24 or 25" can't remember but it was on sale for a decent price. It's alright but looks fuzzy, I might be missing something in the settings.
