I just want something cheap for now 2.1 (2 floor tower speakers and a sub). Something to look neat in front of my TV and sounds good. Not looking to break the bank on this one.

I wouldn't mind $200 for the floor speakers or $300 total for all three. I have a sub in mind.

Should I just go to a local audio place and see what they may recommend or just stop at a walmart and buy whatever looks interesting? haha

I do have prime but amazon doesn't appear to have that many options.

My receiver is 7.1 I think and has bluetooth / 2 channels and all that. Not sure how to set it up for multi room purposes. :\

Those are computer speakers. I have 5.1 in my computer setup atm. Was hoping there were some knockoff (but decent sounding) floor standing speakers to toss next to my TV. My wife bought me a soundbar/sub combo for christmas and it worked once and hasn't since the day after using them. :\

I am thinking maybe this combo:

and then this for my sub

These will beat any towers in same price range and are well worth their price: http://www.philharmonicaudio.com/aa.html you don't necessarily need a sub with them if your budget doesnt allow one yet. Polk makes really lousy "subs" and you should avoid them, for budget sub this is your best pick: https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-sub-1200-12-120-watt-powered-subwoofer--300-629

Pretty good deal on

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B013LIN5W2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

today, or should I get https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B006QL0XXQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 ??

I will get bookshelf speakers another time, I want some decent floor standing ones for now. I figured I'll just add more to my theater room and I don't have any nice floor standing speakers.

Neither of those are decent floor standing speakers. Polk has some ok speakers on their higher end models but the lower end is quite poor, and at the price of their higher end there are a lot better choices. Why you want floor standers? If you play them with sub you wont be able to tell difference between tower speaker and bookself if they have been set up properly. At high and mid frequencies there is no difference between two, only difference is on low end and quite many good bookself speakers play even the low end better than bad tower speakers, and even if this was not the case sub will fill the low end so it wont even matter. You are getting better quality on same price bookself speaker vs tower as the cabinet is cheaper to make and money goes towards better elements, crossover and design. For tight budget you are better getting quality bookselfs instead of poor towers.

If you how ever are set for towers I would take these instead of those Polk https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008NCD2S4/ Dennis Murphy used to have mod for these Pioneers that sound even better, but I think the modded pair goes for ~400$ if he still does them.
