hello last night i decided to upgrade my pc from windows 7 ultimate to windows 10 pro. oddly enough. upon completion of install i went and did a windows update. it managed to update , install and find all drivers needed, oddly enough except for my video card ( EVGA 02G-P4-2956-KR GeForce GTX 950 SC+ GAMING Silent Video Card ). so i went to the box in which it came in and grabbed this cd in which came with the video card. i tried installing it just now and the most silliest thing happened. i got a windows security alert say it cant verify the publisher or this driver software. And i mean theres no other cd. this is the actually cd that came with the video card. so it left me with two options dont install software, or install driver software anyway. well i choose the option time to install it anyway. it doesnt seem that its able to. it just locks screen up into a black screen and doesnt appear to seem to be able to install it. i dont know my i was thinking maybe the site doesnt exist. Its just weird that even though its evga video card. its still sending to nvidia install app when i use the the evga video card driver cd.

any help or suggestions would be greatful apprieciated.

Well just noticed I am able to play Diablo 3 fine on my PC. It's only when i try play in the vm. which I'm only using a free and un liscense version of Windows 10 home in my the vm. Is it because of the version of Windows 10 I'm using on the vm? I know they blocked co some features. They tell you straight up, bot not which features

It's the vm software and not windows 10.
A Windows 10 license is 5$ on eBay the if you want to try it.
Ways install drivers for a gpu from the manufacturers website, never the disc.

Always install vid card drivers on the host OS, with the VM turned off. Use this method...

DDU Instructions - Nvidia
1. Get this program, here: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
2. Get your vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: http://www.geforce.com/drivers ...save this to your desktop.
3. Run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you. If it wants to go into "Safe Mode", let it.
4. After it's done and comp has rebooted to normal mode, just double click the Nvidia driver to install. If it want's to reboot, let it.

well from the looks of it im not to sure now. i switch to oracle vm from microsoft version and im still having the same problem.

@ post 5 ~ well here is thing, on the pc itself the drivers are installed and i am able to to play d3. its only when i try to open it up in a vm is when i am having the problem. so i guess i really dont need to install any other drivers as they are already installed.

i did some google searches it had a few different things to try. disabling dvr recording.. but when i go to adjust those settings i cant. it just says "sorry, your pc doesnt meet the hardware requirements for the game dvr". going to keep working at it.
