Can anyone help me configure my router using DD-WRT to repeat the xfinitywifi signal?

Basically I'm trying to follow this reddit guide titled "How To Repeat an xfinitywifi Wifi Signal As Your Own Home WiFi Using DD-WRT" and I'm beginning to think I'm a total moron because it's just not working lol. The Issue is definitely the configuring the DD-WRT router part. I've verified that the mac address is active on the network and I definitely have DD-WRT installed on the first router But once I think i've configured the DD-WRT router properly and connect it from LAN to my computer's ethernet port, there's no internet connection.

This is the part where I feel like I'm 100% lost.

Set local IP address to XXX.XXX.69.1 where XXX.XXX matches the IP address of the xfinitywifi router. In my case, it was 172.20.x.x. You can make the subnet whatever you want.
Set the gateway to the IP address of the xfinity wifi router.
Set static DNS 1 to the IP of the xfinitywifi router.

Never mind... I think the WiFi is just broken on the router as nothing shows up in site survey, then I did a 30 / 30 / 30 reset and created random WiFi ssid and those don’t even show up.
