Is there really any point to them, do they trick your eyes?

Any real benefit?

I wanted to go OLED honestly but did some research and no thanks.

Looks like curved has some cool things being said about it but a lot of those companies and sites blow smoke.

Looking at getting one from Best Buy just because I have financing and card is paid off. Could buy it outright but like building some credit

if you like it then get it. pretty sure curved screens distort the image, where the center of the screen will be different than the left and right sides. closest to the center should have the least distortion i believe.

i dont like curved screens personally.

how would it be different between a monitor and a TV? both display an image and would have the same effect. but i think its worse for a monitor because with word documents its super weird to read/type words on a curved screen. i only used a curved monitor in a computer lab that wasnt mine.

some people may like a curved monitor, depends on preferences

This is the only curved monitor I'd think of getting.

Need that super wide screen with curved, IMO

Different because with a tv you are located in different places and viewing distances.

Monitors is always the same

yea thats true, if you dont sit in the center then it would make things even worse.

but still a weird distortion with curved screen no matter where you sit.
