I was having some sort of graphic issue with my PC. Text on my screen out of nowhere was just looking fucked.
I tried to reinstall graphic drivers and nothing fixed. I tried to system restore and it gave me an error when restoring.
I went and just did a windows reinstall. When the install finished somehow I still had internet when not installing my LAN drivers.
I also had NVIDIA settings available without installing my graphic drivers. The issue was still showing AND it seems like my PC is running INSANELY slow.
When I opened up microsoft edge to search some things it wouldn't load other sites properly. I tried to go to jsp to post (im on my laptop now) and once the site loaded if I clicked "login" or "forums" edge would just freeze.


Fast forward a bit and I was finally able to install HWMonitor (was scared CPU was overheating because BIOS was reset and I had insane temp issues when I built the PC and turned it on)
but for some reason.. my temps are 50c and not overheating like I did before.


I basically have no idea what the fuck is going on and now that windows and bios were completely redone I don't even know where to begin looking for a fix.

I'm not sure exactly what "fucked" means. I'm not up on these modern scientific terms. :)

As for the magic drivers after a Windows install, it depends on what "kind" of Windows install you did.
By default Windows comes with generic drivers for most things.

If you still see an Nvidia Control Panel icon when you right click the desktop, then you just did a Windows repair, not a clean re-install.


Proper way to re-install vid card drivers...I don't think this is the problem though. Check out some of Google's solutions, first.

DDU Instructions - Nvidia
1. Get this program, here: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
2. Get your vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: http://www.geforce.com/drivers ...save this to your desktop.
3. Run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you. If it wants to go into "Safe Mode", let it.
4. After it's done and comp has rebooted to normal mode, just double click the Nvidia driver to install. If it want's to reboot, let it.

Well I'm reinstalling windows all over again right now. I think anyway.
This time I had it do the option that takes longer and wipes out literally everything.
It seems like it's going to take like 1.5 - 2hours honestly so I can't do anything until then.

I honestly am slowly losing so much hope.
Just going to sleep and wake up tomorrow trying to figure out whats next.

As for system being slow are you sure the SSD is set to AHCI mode in the bios?

Does your gpu have a default OC?

Whats the rams current set speed?

the text being screwed is mainly noticed on jsp but it happens on google search when mouse is over text.
anything with an underline gets cut off when the bottom of text hits it like y, j, g, p, q, ect..
I can't check anything now bios wise.
No idea
It was at 2666 which is what my card is. (I believe you set it to that)

Then run DDU in safe mode then proceed to install your video drivers and other main drivers.

Now about the font things
Install Opera browser and does it look weird on there or not?
(I don't use chrome so it could be chrome or a windows thing which is what I want to figure out)

2666 is technically an overclock so you can turn it down to 2100mhz till you sort out everything else.
(I enabled XMP profile which clocked it to 2666, which ideally is what you want if your not manual setting ram)

Your card is a whole other thing, so link us the GPU. Though if your issue is solely the broken underline its not really relate I think.
The way you described random text on screen all over thats a serious concern as its a sign of an unstable cpu/gpu

I'm way too paranoid of a person to do something like that to be very honest with you lol
I honestly think I might pack all this shit up and see if I can return most of it.


I really do not know what to do here now though with the stuck windows screen.
