My stepson wants to buy a extender since his wifi connection is rather poor upstairs on his Xbox. Any suggestions for affordable and good ones?

One I was looking at on amazon

I'd opt for power line provided your house was made in this century.

Never even heard of this lol..

Would something as simple as this work?
And it’s essentially plug and play? Plug ether net from router to one, and ether net from other to Xbox?

yep, you may need to sync them or set them in router based on your router settings but yeah.
only word of warning is plug them directly into the wall and not a power bar.

Yea I read that.
Happen to know any affordable ones.
My stepson is 12, lol. I myself don’t need it, and don’t intend on paying for it. He wanted to spend some of his Xmas money on something to help his Xbox get better speed.
Hardliners my comp get 130mbs, his Xbox gets 12mbs on wifi lol

they run about 50$ here idk in the usa whats standard but you don't need a high end one just a reputable brand.

I’m in Canada.
I saw a refurbished set on walmart.ca D-Link.

Go for it but if it acts up don't act surprised I mean it is a refurb.

I've used D-Link.

Works about 90% as well as pure ethernet connection in my home.

That being said my WiFi is only 60% as good in terms of speed the room I need it, plus I live in an apartment complex where during 5-9PM the wireless interference is stronk.

so it's a BIG improvement to keep it wired
