that's because you're dumb
only people allowed to give 0 fucks
are people on ryzen/fx

i mean i might just get my old phenom II x4 up and running again, the only thing I upgraded from that for in the first place doesn't really apply anymore. Seems like everytime I turn around there's some new intel related security issues

In a statement to Gizmodo, AMD said that of the three attack variants, one was easily resolved with “negligible performance impact,” while the others have “near zero risk” or “zero risk” due to “architecture differences.”

this was targeted at intel cpus if you look at the complete story so didnt mean amds werent vulnerable even though I think they patched it few months ago with no performance loss
but is big problem either way
we havent really seen any real performance loss on gaming from patches yet
other things brings ryzen intel super close or ryzen taking over now on work related shit now,

if I remember correctly

and believe there are patches for windows out already

dcss did you seen via is releasing a cpu again?

if i have to pick between 30% perf loss and being vulnerable to this exploit, idk what i'll do. at least i can make the choice though, regardless whether it's the right one. Don't think that's the case for critical security updates and windows 10. Can't even be your own system administrator in current year argument smh.

and no i didn't hear about it, it'd be cool if they could be as competitive as they used to be with Cyrix but it seems like they're starting way too late in the race to make anything other than low-power SOC's or tablets cpu's.

I’ve had the user password / username box pop up on a couple sites lately...

Time to change my password.

It’s already over 13 digits long with lower case, upper case, symbols, letters, numbers. And I have four or so passwords like that going... bleh.

everyone says 0-30 but i'm not sure yet if its going to be that high considering gen of cpu, maybe just stupid way to force upgrade, and we dont know if microcode will reduce the hit too once intel starts doing shit about it

also thnk mac os fixed this in decemeber
