got new pc, it turned on, keyboard was not being detected so I held down the power button to hard reset it and now it wont turn back on. When i twisted the cords in, it randomly came back on sometimes. Now no fan will spin when pressing the power button. New power supply, mobo, ram and cpu.

it was just slight twisting most of the cords coming from the case itself. Could it be the power button not working correctly?

short the 2 pins you have the power button plugged into (a screwdriver should work but the more conductive the better; most aren't very conductive)

If you can consistently get it to boot this way, it's the power button.

when you press the power button, all you're doing is completing the circuit, allowing current to flow between those 2 pins. All you have to do is remove the power switch plug from those 2 pins and bridge them together manually.

Look in your motherboard manual. It will show you all the pins on the motherboard, where the case wires attach.

There should be two labeled... pwr sw+ and pwr sw - ...or similar. Just use a screwdriver to short those two pins together. If the computer starts, every time you do that, then you know the power switch on the case is bad.

/e Or tell us make and model of motherboard and we can look it up for you.
