Booted up desktop and smelt a burning metal smell. All my fans turn on even my power supply fan. Monitor boots up to widows 7 login screen. But because everything I own is usb I cant login

Unplug all USB devices then plug in a mouse or keyboard.

Tried and still nothing. There is no beeping happening from the mobo or anything. Starts up fine but all my usb ports are dead.

Is there any damage to any of the USB ports? You may need a USB card assuming bad IC.

replace the motherboard (if within warranty, have it repaired.)

since you're able to boot up, you don't need the BIOS flashed.

The front case usb is broken but iv disconnected it from the mobo.
The 3.0 usb in the front still doesnt work as well as the back few on the mobo

Sounds like your USB controller fried or a connection fried. Worst comes to worst you can use a USB PCI card.

I tried disconnecting all usbs and trying another set of usbs from a different case and reset my cmos battery but still nothing. Would getting a usb card work or would it still do nothing
