So my girlfriend recently purchased me the new Surface Book 2 15" w/ gtx 1060 & 512gb ssd.
I got it with a student discount making it from 2899.99 to 2608.

I was excited cause I had seen some excellent reviews only issues im seeming to have is high latency with wifi and not such great performance with gaming.
I figured with a full on gtx 1060 it should perform well and it isn't.

I am returning the unit shortly.

I am looking for a laptop in the 14-15.6 inch range. Touch screen would be nice. MAX-q is fine, i prefer a very thin laptop.
G-sync must be included, 1080p 120hz or 1440p 75+hz or 4k 60hz.

GTX 1060 6GB to GTX 1080.
Core i7 7700hq to 7820hq.
16 GB ram or more
512GB ssd or larger
Mechanical RGB keyboard would be great.

Closest laptop ive seen is the ACER Triton 700 gtx 1080 model, the 1060 model woulda been perfect if it had 120 hz panel.

Yes many of the sager laptops that were thinner didn’t include g sync. If they did include g sync it was thicker and not always 120hz and none were 144hz. My last gaming laptop almost 6 years ago is a MSI still works to this day. Not brand loyal just like certain features. Last one was a 17.3 but that I find is to large for me now.

Yeah I wasn't sure what all they had but I heard others say good things so I figured to throw it out there.

I have been quite pleased with the 1060 and 7700hq in my Gigabyte Aero 14, but I also don't play any of the newest games and have never been one to really need ultra graphic settings

Like I said I would use one if it had the specs I wanted. Closest one was $100 less with a 120hz panel vs the 144hz I got but by purchasing the Asus I get a free xranger backpack and asus game controller. Which is a $200 value.
