Cellphone mobile data is great for youtube/hulu/netflix ect...
Terrible for gaming b/c of the 250 to 350 ping... which can sky rocket to 900+ ping certain times of the day...

Grandma refuses to have internet installed at home b/c shes old fashion and cheap ect.
I bought the laptop to try and get internet from the bar 3 roads down.
The laptop only picks up signals 0.3 miles, and the bar is about 0.6 to 0.7 miles away.

I figured i mind as well use my desktop for Super high FPS>.... b/c laptop gets 35 fps in most games... at best..

So USB or PCI adapter? Should i just get a stick or pci antenna? or a pci that has a 5ft cable that attaches to an antenna?
can anyone recommend me something that might get over 1Mile distance? that way i get good Quality connection?
Something less than $200 ??

I assume a PCI adapter, will be better than USB in my case.

wifi works both ways.
unless you can upgrade the bars hardware nothing you do will help for a miles distance unless people in between will let you set up access points/repeaters.
