In my desktop I have a i5 3570k cpu, in the intel blue box, it came with a stock fan/heatsink.
Does anyone know what the CFM (cubic feet per minute) , and DBA (noise level ) , and RPM is on that stock fan?

I got a corsair power supply with a fan that runs only 5% of the time as intended...
my case fans are fairly quiet too...

So i always thought CPU fans were always supposed to run loud....
Until i noticed this new laptop I just got... the fan is like so Quiet i can't even tell if the laptop is on half the time.. ( somewhat noticeable in the Quiet night )

So i would like to know what the stock fan specs are, im having a hard time finding them.
I would like to compare to the other fans/heatsinks on newegg...
Would i need to actually remove and apply new thermal paste? is that hard?

The goal
is to make my Desktop is Quiet as possible. Performance isn't really needed too much.
So Quiet, that my grandma will never know its on...

if you can recommended any weekly special discounts ect lmk
need cpu fan/heatsink , thermal paste possibly?
2x 140mm fans
3x 120mm fans

also should i get a Fan controller? for the Drive bay?

yeah there's no way intel has published this kind of info on their stock fans, you'll have to find or do experiments of your own to determine the CFM

same reason they don't publish yields
proprietary
not our business as far as they're concerned
it will keep your cpu below tjmax
all u need to know

this info isnt too hard to discover via testing tho, im sure u can find someone doing it. intel stock fans are the same from sandy bridge to haswell i believe. Was only after that they cut out the copper slug and probably used cheaper bearings
