I bought a home ( 1900 sq ft ) and the modem will be in the basement , it’s a Wifi modem , but it struggles already in my 1200 sq foot home .

Looking for a decent option for a wifi extender.

Things I want .

Simple to use
Dual band
Decent signal.

Things I don’t care about

Ethernet or audio connectors
Other bells and whistles
Being able to work as a second network

If I had just bought a home, I would wire it for Ethernet.

Run a 75+ FT ethernet cable out of the basement to TP-Link AC1750 WiFi Range Extender then you'll be good to go.

Get a couple Google WiFi pucks or an Eero 2-node setup instead of an extender.

Extenders SUCK.
