I recently got a new PSU and noticed my GPU fans were not on after I installed it. It maybe always was like this with fans off at startup, but I didn't notice. I put a game on to heat it up, and the GPU fans did not turn on until it hit 75 Celsius. This seems hot. Is there a way to change at what temp it turns on? I tried also to turn the fans on with manual control and run them at a constant low speed, but with manual controls (using open hardware monitor), the fans would not turn on unless I set them at 80% speed at least.

Any ideas?

Back when I had a GTX 580 (very hot card) the fans would stay at 36% till the thing was almost melting. But EVGA released a firmware upgrade to fix that.

Maybe check on the vid card manufacturer's website.

think fans might be rekt
clean installed gpu drivers and that did nothing
tried openhardwaremonitor and afterburner to manually adjust fan speeds, but the fans will not respond unless i turn them up to 80% or higher
so basically, fan will only automatically turn on if the gpu hits 75 celsius, and i can only manually turn them on at speeds over 80%

Order a new fan.

Or RMA if still under warranty.
