My friend bought this year an acer aspire from a computer shop.

but now he wants to upgrade it a little bit to do some projection/mapping

but while working on his stuff the computer crashed

here's what he got ;

the screen show was taken without any application opened.. i think it may be the processor overheating or the ram insuficient.

I doubt that laptop can even do the job you're asking of it.
That's a laptop for checking email and browsing the web. Maybe playing D2.

There's no upgrading he can do that will allow it to do what he's asking of it.

He needs a better laptop.

Sorry, the Acer Aspire phrase, threw me. I'm kinda tired.

Doesn't really matter. To upgrade it enough to do what he's asking...would be to build a new computer.

/ee He's stuck with an FM2+ motherboard. To upgrade any significant amount, would literally be, to build a new comp.

/e I would guess he's going to need something like this... AMD - Ryzen 5 1600

...which means a new motherboard, RAM, vid card etc.

Note: i7 cpu, and a gtx 980.


I think you could get by with an AMD 1600 and a GTX 1050Ti, but you are gonna need a new motherboard and RAM for that. Possibly and SSD as well.


If you want to try and cheat the recommended specs, then get a GTX 1050Ti and redo the thermal compound on the CPU, and probably get a better case with better cooling options.
