Hey guys, wondering if you could help me out with this odd situation.

I recently purchased a 2nd SSD to install my steam games on (not running windows) and it's acting weird.
Whenever I try downloading any games on it, or updating anything, the download speed is always slow/inconsistent. Often stops for a few minutes before starting again etc.
Sometimes I get the "Disk Write Error" on steam

Now if I try installing the same game on my initial SSD with windows on, the speed is constant, never stops.

Any common errors would cause this?
I tried googling and did a few steps that was mentioned but I can't figure it out. Nothing seemed to help.

Thanks in advance, hopefully someone knows what this means :D

Example of what it does ^
(Downloading games on my other SSD is a constant 12-15MBs speed and doesn't stop like this one does)

I ran some tests with Tune HD and found no errors in the drive.
Steam is running as Admin
Really not sure what the problem is at this point

tlc is insanely slow once u fill the cache up on some drives, could be the issue. cheap ssds are really bad for long sustained writes.
but 3mb/s is abysmal even with a full cache
i get like 80-100

It's a brand new Samsung 850 EVO 250GB, not sure how it would be full?
I only installed a few games so far (other one is full so I had no choice) and the speed has been awful.

Solved :

- Moved the cable to a different SATA port on the motherboard and the issue was resolved.

Simple enough lol <_<
