My question is there a wireless way to connect my CPU and TV? So my TV screen shows what my CPU screen shows.

Will a device like an “Amazon fire stick” do this or just access apps like Netflix?

What TV are you trying to achieve this on? And what are your PC specs?

If on a smart TV and Windows 10 PC both with wireless, you can mirror the PC's output on your TV without any adapters:
Start -> Settings -> Devices -> Connected Devices -> Add a Device -> Select your TV from the list -> Go back to Settings -> Display -> Connect to a wireless display -> Select your display in the menu that pops up on the right.

And if that isn't an option, get a Chromecast.

buying a smart tv is not a cheaper option than a gtx 460 LOL
and doesn't chromecast have severe limitations on what can be broadcasted to the tv? Latency also looks horrendous, like over 1 second.
